This article is the setup guide for any apps/logins/layout that are used in the field by Appliance Repair Techs I start to finish. Prior to this logins were setup as detailed Appliance Repair Tech Phone & Tech Stack Some of our stack items are app based others are browser bases. This SOP details both, setting up app based SaaS and web based SaaS.

2. Initial Phone Setup

After about 30 minutes the new line should be visible in the account. Note you'll see a new line with no name designation

Choose the following Setup Options

Confirm Network - T-Mobile
Set up your T-Mobile eSim
Set a Pin > 1234 or something generic. Emp can change later
Set up Fingerprint Unlock > Off
Set up Face Unlock > Off
Copy apps & data > Off
Google Services: Backup your device > Turn On Backup
Car Crash Detection > On
Nearby Discovery > Off

6. Clean Phone Up

Even the "Clean Pixels" come with bloat pre-installed. Remove all but the essential apps. Some Apps cant be "Uninstalled" for us the disable option. Uninstall/Disable all apps until you are left the the following clean slate.

Logins were previously established, see Appliance Repair Tech Phone & Tech Stack. Install each app below 1x1 from the Google Play Store. Most are self explanatory. A few of the apps have sub-steps as detailed below

ChatGPT Specifics - Add Custom GPTs

We use two custom GPTs in the field - Appliance Repair Invoice Generator & Appliance Repair Voltage Arbiter. These custom GPTs have to be added to the app. They can be found on our Toothbrush Test Page or by searching in Invoice generator appliances Invoice Generator appliance repair

Sortly Specifics

For Sortly the user clicks the email invitation and sets a password. Have the emp choose a password but if not present use the generic password you set earlier.

Todoist Specifics

Todoist starts with an email invitation as well, accepting the team folders, and placing a widget on the home screen to show the tech's daily tasks.

Last click the Settings, Click the Project Folder which will set this as the default view for the home screen widget.

If successful the phone screen will show the widget installed with the test tasks

Swiftkey is a productivity hack. You can save frequently used text blurbs in your keyword so you aren't having to type the same old information over and over again. The first image here isn't a step by rather an example of what Swiftkey can do.

9. Password Save Each SaaS

The next step is to login to each SaaS and save the passwords using Chrome's built in password feature. Right now we aren't using password managers, just simple Chrome password save. Only one example is shown here since the steps for saving a password to Chrome is identical for every website.
